Flexible
DELEGO meets and exceeds your requirements. Flexibility is inherent in the design of DELEGO. Whether standard SAP ECC, or any SAP system is used or custom applications are written, DELEGO can be incorporated into any of these. DELEGO connects SAP systems, websites, legacy systems, voice recognition, wireless and other systems in the same way. Because DELEGO is based on Java; it supports many platforms and operating systems unlike other solutions that only work on one operating system. And with our DELEGO web services function, your flexibility grows even more when using DELEGO. You choose the architecture, and DELEGO does the processing.
Modular
Built upon the client server model, the full DELEGO suite is composed of components. Each component has a specific task and communicates with other components as required. This modularity allows expansion of DELEGO's function with minimal impact on other components and the components can be added in any order.

Advanced Technology
All of the DELEGO products are written in Java and utilize SAP's Java Connector (JCo) where needed to connect with the system. Choosing Java as the foundation language made multi-threading all the applications simple and robust. Java has become the language of choice for electronic commerce. With Java as the foundation language, DELEGO will continue to grow without radical changes in its underlying technology. As well, the communication architecture is based on XML making the connection to DELEGO MT open. This allows connectivity to be easily expanded to legacy systems, websites, and voice recognition systems, etc.
Building it right the first time is what keeps us from having to grow a large support organization as others have had to do. Just ask customers who have switched to DELEGO from other solutions.
Our technology and SAP know-how have allowed us to build all DELEGO components without making any changes to SAP core code as other solutions often do.
Scalable
DELEGO will scale from the smallest number of transactions to the largest, global, enterprise-wide systems with ease. For example, in one client's production environment, DELEGO has routinely handled over 100,000 transactions in a single day on a single server. Multiple servers may be used to expand these abilities even further.
Open
We believe in choice. We also believe the choices should be left to you, the client. Therefore, the design of DELEGO incorporates technologies that allow these choices. From the choice of database (if selected at all as a database is not required for DELEGO, thereby greatly reducing exposure risk of card information) to the choice of encryption security to the choice of communication method to the choice of clearinghouse, all are available to you.
Secure
In today's world, security is of utmost importance, including the handling of credit card transactions. A merchant can be exposed to liabilities if the credit card data is not properly protected. DELEGO provides a variety of security measures, but most notable is the encryption of credit card numbers. Our DELEGO Secure solution encrypts the credit card numbers for storage directly into the SAP tables. Once encrypted, only a special application provided with DELEGO Secure can decrypt the credit card number to provide the best in-house security with respect to technical and other staff working with your systems.
For even greater encryption security, DELEGO can provide a token replacement of the encrypted number. As this additional security can be provided in a software or hardware version, and can be an onsite or offsite solution, DELEGO again provides you the most choices in the market.
DELEGO Secure is only one method of securing your credit card system. The use of anti-fraud techniques such as CVV2, CVC2, CID, and AVS are fully supported. Communication of transactions over the Internet is encrypted using SSL. DELEGO also works with SAP SNC through solutions such as SECUDE.
In combination, these security techniques provide a high degree of protection for both you as the merchant and your customers. If fraudulent transactions are of major concern to your business, we also offer the ability to utilize the most sophisticated fraud detection solutions in the market today through integration to our partners' fraud detection systems.
Clearinghouse
We support numerous large transaction processing clearinghouses and banks such as ChasePaymentech, First Data (US, Australia, Mexico, Canada, Europe), TSYS Acquiring, Elavon, Global Payments, Fifth Third Bank, Wells Fargo, Wachovia, Bank of America, USBank, Moneris Solutions, RBS Group, CyberSource, and American Express among many others. We also have connections in Europe, Asia, and Australia providing localized credit card processing in these jurisdictions through such processors as First Data International, Royal Bank of Scotland (Streamline, WorldPay, Trustmarque, and Bibit), Barclay’s, Ogone, Lloyds CardNet, HSBC, American Express, and ChasePaymentech, among others.
Although we are affiliated with many clearinghouses, we are not a clearinghouse, nor do we have any financial connections to them for rebates, etc. as other vendors do. Our products do not constrain you to a specific processor and we can independently help you with a processor connection. Again, the choice is yours. Should the need exist; DELEGO handles many merchants and many different clearinghouses simultaneously. Since we continually add to our list of supported clearinghouses, should you decide on a major clearinghouse not currently supported by us, we will work with that clearinghouse to develop the connection to DELEGO.
The clearinghouse determines the card types that are accepted. Most major clearinghouses will handle Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Some will also accept Diners and JCB. DELEGO supports all of these types of credit cards, and other more regional based cards, such as Solo, Switch, Carte Bleu, Maestro, and so on.
Multi-currency is also an issue driven by the clearinghouses. Some clearinghouses will function only in US dollars whereas others handle multiple currencies. DELEGO will accept any valid currency and pass the transaction to the clearinghouse for processing. We can also help you understand trans-border and tax related issues in card processing if you wish to accept foreign payments.
Since DELEGO easily manages multiple clearinghouses concurrently, should different clearinghouses be needed by you to meet your international and domestic processing requirements, DELEGO will meet this need. Some of our DELEGO customers connect with as many as six different clearinghouses simultaneously.

Our customers appreciate not being required to have redundant data storage for their payments system to work, especially in this era of security precautions you must take, along with the headaches and cost of an additional database for your payment application. If you do want to use a database with your DELEGO system, then we do provide a component that permits the use of any ODBC compliant database, not just one or two as other solutions do. With DELEGO, that choice is yours.
